Sports Injury Doctor
Your comeback starts here.
“I have been working with Jess since 2013 when I came in with an injured rib, right before our championships. She fixed me right up and enabled me to continue my senior year on the UC Berkeley Men’s Swim Team. Since then, she has consistently and constantly provided professional injury and maintenance care as I chased two Olympic Games. She is a great human, and I cherish our time together! “
“I worked closely with Jess in the lead up to the 2021 Olympics. Jess had a positive impact on me in that year- she was aware of swimming specific positions, extremely knowledgeable, and engaging. I highly recommend her!”
I had another fruitful visit. Dr. J was on top of her game as she worked on a knee and my upper thoracic region – her knowledge of sports related injuries is exemplary. My body has a lot of needs and she pinpoints them after I describe them to her. The post visit exercises are very solid. Well done.

Our Approach & What to Expect on Your First Visit
We don’t believe in a cookie-cutter approach to care as we understand each case is unique. Innersport provides one-on-one individualized care by a doctor of chiropractic sports medicine for sports injuries, chronic conditions, and general well-being and health. Each treatment and rehabilitation is catered to the individual’s needs and goals, whether the patient is a weekend warrior, Olympic athlete, or looking to remain mobile and active for a lifetime.
We listen.
We take a thorough history of your injury or complaint. Your body is like a scrapbook, storing previous injuries whether minor or significant, rerouting movement patterns and habits. We dive into each part of the body, collecting past compensations and movement avoidance that may affect your current mechanics in sport and daily activities.
Thorough Orthopedic and Neurologic exam.
We will perform the necessary tests to determine diagnosis and injury severity.
Functional Movement Assessment.
Once we learn the diagnosis, the next step is to determine how the injury happened in the first place. We will assess dysfunctional movement patterns, faulty compensations, postural abnormalities and skeletal anomalies.
Treatment and Rehabilitation Plan.
Once the necessary information on the injury and movement patterns has been gathered, a treatment and rehabilitation plan is created to get you back to doing what you love.
