Barefoot Running and Shoe Analysis

Do you wonder if you overpronate or have you been told you overpronate?

Often, we are told we are overpronators, however, many times the cause of overpronation or rapid pronation comes from above.

Our hips determine where the foot will land in the gait cycle.  The hips and pelvis take information from above and below to determine where the foot should land in order for the body to move forward, and in the path of least resistance.  In other words, our body will cause the foot/ankle to overpronate or rapidly pronate in order to compensate for dysfunctions elsewhere in the body.

Using state of the art software program used in the Olympics and knowledge from numerous research articles, conferences, and years of video analysis experience, Dr. Greaux determines if you are an overpronator, supinator, or if your shoes may be contributing to injuries or poor performance.   She will also evaluate your barefoot running gait.

Please bring your running shoes and/or vibram 5 fingers, and non-black shorts.  Women can bring a sports bra if they feel comfortable running in one.  If not, feel free to bring a tank top or t-shirt.

Please arrive 20 minutes early to be marked and videotaped.
