Many of you may have seen Fast Freddie win his 4th National Championship on the Adamo ISM saddle and some of you have already made the switch. After test riding the saddle myself and testing many triathletes and cyclists with our new saddle pressure sensor system, we have become big fans of the unconventional imperative contact point.
ISM stands for Ideal Saddle Modification, the brainchild of Steve Toll, who like most of us, just wanted to be comfortable on the bike. he designed a new saddle, with not just a hole, but rather looks more like a "U", allowing less pressure and more blood flow to the perineal area.
Being a sports medicine clinic, we were particularly interested in the "medical" claims from Adamo ISM and their research. Research has shown men can suffer from many saddle related medical problems (some due to occlusion/compression of the gential arteries) such as:
- prostate inflammation
- saddle sores
- inability to reach orgasm
- urinary tract and yeast infections
- saddle sores
