How to Avoid Delays

• Bypass the route – Motorists should utilize routes such as Highways 13, 24, 580,

880 or 980 which do not interfere with the marathon route.

• If you must cross the race route, utilize facilities unaffected by the race such as

BART or AC Transit

• If you must utilize road that cross the race route, plan ahead to miss the closures.

For example, roads around downtown will experience delays but east Oakland will not be affected by the race during this time.
